Jetcraft Says Pre-Owned Business Jet Market Remains Strong as Deal Activity Rises 15%
Jetcraft says its pre-owned business aircraft transaction activity is running approximately 15% ahead of the same period last year, challenging suggestions that the global private jet market is experiencing a significant slowdown.

The aircraft broker describes current conditions as a stabilizing rather than weakening market, with buyers becoming more selective following the exceptional supply constraints and pricing conditions experienced during the pandemic.

Available inventory remains relatively tight. JetNet data cited by Jetcraft shows 6.6% of the worldwide business jet fleet was for sale during the second quarter of 2026, compared with 7.3% a year earlier. Average time on market for aircraft that sold also declined from 215 days in the first quarter to 199 days in the second.

New-aircraft production is increasing, with 158 new business jet deliveries recorded in Q2 compared with 145 during the same period in 2025. However, delivery positions for some new aircraft continue stretching into 2028 and beyond.

That delay continues supporting pre-owned demand among companies, entrepreneurs and family offices requiring immediate aircraft availability.

Jetcraft’s figures indicate that the post-pandemic market is becoming more disciplined, but high-quality, later-model business jets with strong maintenance histories continue attracting significant buyer interest.
