Signature Aviation Accelerates Global Expansion
Signature Aviation is preparing for a larger expansion programme in 2027, with plans for 10 new or substantially renovated FBOs, 12 hangars and 17 new or upgraded ramps across its global network.

The company has invested approximately $3.6 billion since 2021 in infrastructure, safety and technology, combining acquisitions with new developments and improvements to existing locations.

Recent growth includes acquiring the former Castle & Cooke Aviation FBO at Van Nuys Airport, bringing Signature’s presence there to three locations. Internationally, the company opened a new terminal in Glasgow in March, while a new facility at Guanacaste Airport in Costa Rica is expected in early 2027.

Larger business aircraft are also influencing development. At Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport, Signature’s investment exceeding $10 million includes a 22,000-square-foot hangar designed to accommodate modern business jets.

For the business aviation community on NVOII, these developments highlight the investment going into the facilities that support aircraft, crews and passengers. Signature’s expansion places hangar capacity, ramp infrastructure and modern terminals at the centre of its next growth phase.
