Modesto Jet Center Expands California FBO Hangar Capacity Beyond 100,000 Square Feet

Modesto Jet Center has acquired a 26,510-square-foot former corporate flight department hangar at Modesto City-County Airport–Harry Sham Field, pushing the California FBO’s total hangar inventory above 100,000 square feet. The newly acquired building supplements approximately 80,000 square feet of existing hangar space.

The expansion gives the FBO additional capacity as aircraft owners across California continue competing for enclosed business aircraft storage. Hangar availability has become an increasingly important infrastructure issue, particularly as larger modern business jets require considerably more space than previous-generation aircraft. Adding an existing corporate hangar allows Modesto Jet Center to expand capacity without waiting for a completely new facility to be constructed, while strengthening Modesto as an alternative business aviation base in Northern California.

Bermuda–Boston Air Ambulance Missing Near Nantucket With Six Aboard

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for a Gulfstream G100 air ambulance carrying six people after it lost contact during a flight from Bermuda to Boston early Saturday, October 3.
