Sky X Opens New Louisiana FBO at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport With Global 8000-Capable Hangar
Sky X has opened a new business aviation FBO terminal at Hammond Northshore Regional Airport in Louisiana, completing the first stage of an ambitious development serving private and corporate aircraft between New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

The centerpiece is a new 10,000-square-foot passenger terminal featuring an executive conference room, passenger lounge and other premium amenities. A 30,000-square-foot hangar behind the terminal can accommodate aircraft as large as the Bombardier Global 8000.

Sky X plans two additional 30,000-square-foot hangars for completion this fall, significantly increasing aircraft storage and service capacity at KHDC.

The company is building more than a traditional fueling stop. Its Hammond operation combines FBO services with maintenance, AOG support, avionics and Part 135 charter capabilities.

Hammond Northshore’s location gives business aircraft users access to southeastern Louisiana while avoiding some of the congestion associated with larger commercial airports.

The development also reflects continued investment in regional U.S. business aviation infrastructure, particularly facilities capable of supporting the newest ultra-long-range private jets.

With additional hangars still under development, Sky X is positioning Hammond as a more substantial business aviation destination along the Gulf Coast.
