Spring City Aviation has expanded to four Wisconsin FBO locations with the acquisition of an operation in Janesville, extending the company’s footprint across the state as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The transaction gives Spring City another base serving business and general aviation aircraft and continues the consolidation occurring among regional fixed-base operators.

Regional FBO networks occupy an important position in business aviation because corporate and private aircraft frequently operate into secondary airports outside the largest metropolitan gateways. Building multiple locations within one geographic market can allow an operator to standardize service while developing stronger relationships with locally based aircraft owners and transient flight departments.

Spring City Aviation’s expansion comes during a particularly active period for the FBO industry. Large national networks continue attracting institutional investment while smaller regional groups pursue acquisitions that give them greater scale without attempting to compete nationwide.
