Starlink Aviation Price Increase Raises Connectivity Costs for Business Jet Operators
Business jet operators installing Starlink are facing higher connectivity costs after pricing increases pushed Starlink Aviation hardware to approximately $200,000, adding to the investment required to provide high-speed satellite internet aboard private aircraft.

Industry installation specialist Basenor reports that hardware pricing has increased from approximately $145,000, while some aviation service plans have also become substantially more expensive.

The increase comes as Starlink business aviation connectivity continues gaining traction across Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer and Textron aircraft through approved installations and supplemental type certificates.

High-speed inflight connectivity has rapidly shifted from a premium option toward an expected cabin feature, particularly aboard large-cabin and ultra-long-range business jets. Passengers increasingly expect video conferencing, streaming, messaging and other bandwidth-intensive applications to work in flight much as they do on the ground.

Higher equipment and subscription costs could now influence upgrade decisions for aircraft owners and fleet operators, particularly when installations require additional downtime and certification work.

The change also intensifies competition across the business aviation connectivity market as operators compare Starlink with established and emerging satellite solutions.

Despite higher costs, demand for fast, low-latency connectivity remains strong, making onboard internet one of the most competitive areas of business aviation cabin technology.
