NetJets Citation Longitude Lands Without Nose Gear at Akron-Canton Airport After Landing Gear Failure
A NetJets Cessna Citation Longitude made a nose-gear-up landing at Akron-Canton Airport in Ohio after the flight crew was reportedly unable to deploy the aircraft’s nose landing gear.

The incident occurred on August 18, 2026, involving Citation Longitude N803QS. The aircraft was operating into Akron-Canton when the crew encountered the landing-gear problem and prepared for an abnormal landing. Video of the event showed the pilots touching down on the main landing gear and holding the aircraft’s nose off the runway for as long as possible before allowing the forward fuselage to settle onto the pavement as speed decreased.

Both pilots were reported uninjured.

The incident is particularly notable because the Citation Longitude is one of Textron Aviation’s flagship super-midsize business jets and is operated extensively by NetJets within its fractional ownership fleet.

Landing-gear malfunctions are relatively uncommon but can result in substantial aircraft damage, runway closures and lengthy maintenance inspections even when crews execute the landing successfully.

The event highlights the importance of abnormal-procedure training and disciplined aircraft handling during business aviation emergencies.
