Kawasaki Selects Loft Dynamics H145 VR Simulator for First Asia-Pacific Deployment
Kawasaki Heavy Industries is deploying the first Loft Dynamics Airbus H145 multi-pilot virtual-reality simulator in the Asia-Pacific region, expanding advanced helicopter training capabilities for pilots and crews operating one of the world’s most widely used twin-engine rotorcraft platforms.

The simulator deployment was announced August 20 and will give crews access to immersive training scenarios designed to replicate normal operations, complex procedures and emergency situations without requiring an aircraft.

Loft Dynamics’ VR-based training systems use high-resolution headsets, realistic cockpit controls and motion technology to reproduce helicopter operations while requiring significantly less physical space than conventional full-flight simulators.

For H145 operators, the technology can provide additional opportunities to practice procedures that may be difficult, costly or unsafe to reproduce in an actual helicopter.

The deployment is particularly significant for the Asia-Pacific helicopter training market, where H145-family aircraft serve missions including executive transport, emergency medical services, law enforcement and other specialized operations.

Kawasaki’s adoption also highlights the growing role of virtual reality in professional aviation training as operators seek more flexible and cost-effective ways to maintain crew proficiency.

The first Asia-Pacific installation could help accelerate wider adoption of VR-based helicopter training across the region.
