Flexjet Moves European Helicopter Fleet to Blackbushe Airport to Strengthen London Private Aviation Connections
Flexjet is relocating the operating base for its European helicopter fleet to Blackbushe Airport in the United Kingdom, strengthening the fractional operator’s private aviation connectivity around London and major regional business aviation airports.

The move, reported on August 17, 2026, will position Flexjet’s Sikorsky S-76 and Leonardo AW139 helicopters at Blackbushe, supporting transfers between London-area airports and destinations across southern England.

Flexjet’s helicopter service complements its European fractional jet operation by offering customers a way to continue journeys beyond the airport without relying solely on ground transportation. Helicopter transfers are particularly valuable around London, where road congestion can significantly increase travel times between private aviation airports and central destinations.

Blackbushe’s location southwest of London also places the fleet within convenient reach of several major business aviation gateways.

The relocation reflects Flexjet’s broader strategy of combining fixed-wing private jet operations with integrated helicopter transportation, creating a more complete door-to-door travel network for fractional owners.

As competition intensifies among premium private aviation providers in Europe, seamless connections between business jets, helicopters and ground transportation are becoming an increasingly important differentiator.
