Pilatus Opens $123 Million Swiss Composites Center to Expand Future Business Aircraft Production
Pilatus Aircraft has opened a new CHF 100 million ($123 million) composites manufacturing center in Switzerland, marking the largest single infrastructure investment in the Swiss aircraft manufacturer’s history and strengthening its capabilities for future aircraft production.

Located at Pilatus’ headquarters in Stans, Switzerland, the new facility consolidates composite manufacturing activities and is designed to expand the company’s use of advanced lightweight materials. Composite structures are increasingly important in modern aircraft production, helping manufacturers reduce weight while improving efficiency, performance and manufacturing flexibility.

The investment comes as Pilatus continues to strengthen production capabilities supporting its growing global aircraft business. The company’s portfolio includes the Pilatus PC-12 turboprop and PC-24 business jet, two aircraft with significant positions in the international business aviation market.

Expanding in-house composite expertise could also provide Pilatus with greater flexibility as it develops future aircraft technologies and evaluates new materials and manufacturing processes.

The scale of the investment demonstrates Pilatus’ long-term commitment to aircraft manufacturing in Switzerland while positioning the OEM for continued growth as global demand for efficient, versatile business aircraft remains strong.
