Epic E1000 AX Receives EASA Certification
Epic Aircraft has achieved European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for its E1000 AX, paving the way for customer deliveries across Europe from 2027. The approval marks a major milestone for the Oregon-based manufacturer and significantly expands the aircraft’s reach into one of the world’s most important markets for high-performance turboprops.

The E1000 AX is powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67A engine, delivering cruise speeds of up to 333 knots and a range of more than 1,500 nautical miles. Combining jet-like performance with the efficiency and operating costs of a single-engine turboprop, the aircraft is well suited to owner-pilots, corporate operators and special mission applications. Its modern Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck, advanced safety features and pressurised cabin continue to make it an attractive alternative to both piston aircraft and light jets.

EASA certification enables Epic Aircraft to begin building its European customer base while strengthening its position in an increasingly competitive market alongside aircraft such as the Pilatus PC-12 NGX and Daher TBM 960. Demand for high-performance turboprops has remained strong as operators seek lower operating costs without sacrificing speed, range or capability.

The certification represents another important step in Epic Aircraft’s global expansion strategy and reinforces the growing appeal of modern single-engine turboprops for both business and private aviation.
