Electra, Signature Aviation and UrbanV Partner to Advance Hybrid-Electric Air Mobility

Electra has announced a strategic partnership with Signature Aviation and UrbanV to accelerate the development of infrastructure and operational support for next-generation hybrid-electric aircraft.

The collaboration will focus on preparing airports and fixed-base operators (FBOs) for the introduction of Electra’s hybrid-electric ultra-short take-off and landing (eSTOL) aircraft. By combining Electra’s aircraft technology with Signature Aviation’s global FBO network and UrbanV’s expertise in advanced air mobility infrastructure, the partners aim to support the future rollout of sustainable regional air transport.

Electra’s eSTOL aircraft is designed to operate from runways as short as 150 feet while offering significantly lower noise levels and reduced emissions compared with conventional aircraft. The partnership will explore how existing airport infrastructure can be adapted to accommodate these next-generation operations, helping pave the way for commercial deployment.

The agreement highlights the growing collaboration between aircraft manufacturers, infrastructure providers and aviation service companies as the industry prepares for a new era of advanced air mobility and more sustainable business aviation.
