Palm Beach Airport to Become President Donald J. Trump International Airport (DJT)
One of Florida’s busiest business aviation gateways is preparing for a historic change. Effective 9 July, Palm Beach International Airport will officially become President Donald J. Trump International Airport, reflecting a new name approved by state lawmakers and recognised by the Federal Aviation Administration.

For business aviation operators, the most significant operational change will be the airport’s identifiers. The FAA location identifier and ICAO code will transition from PBI/KPBI to DJT/KDJT, requiring operators, dispatchers and flight crews to update flight planning systems, navigation databases and operational documentation. The IATA code used for commercial airline reservations will transition at a later date.

The airport remains one of the busiest destinations for business aviation in the United States, serving corporate operators, charter flights, private aircraft owners and international visitors throughout South Florida. As with any airport identifier change, operators are encouraged to verify that onboard databases and dispatch software are updated to ensure a smooth transition.

The renaming marks a significant milestone for one of the country’s most prominent business aviation airports while maintaining its role as a key gateway for corporate and private aviation.
