NBAA Safety Review Highlights Stabilised Approaches as Ongoing Industry Focus
The National Business Aviation Association has released its latest Business Aviation Accident and Incident Analysis, reviewing 40 business aircraft safety events recorded during the first quarter of 2026, including six fatal accidents.

The report identified stabilised approaches as a continuing area of concern across the industry, reinforcing the importance of disciplined flight operations during critical phases of flight. Unstable approaches have long been recognised as a contributing factor in runway excursions, hard landings and loss of control events.

The findings also highlight the ongoing value of recurrent training, crew resource management and robust Safety Management Systems (SMS). As business aviation activity remains strong globally, operators continue investing in safety programmes designed to reduce risk and improve decision-making.

The analysis serves as a reminder that maintaining strong operational standards and a proactive safety culture remains essential to protecting passengers, crews and aircraft throughout the industry.
