Honda has completed the first flight of its full scale eVTOL demonstrator, marking a major milestone in the company’s advanced air mobility development programme.

The achievement represents Honda’s transition from sub scale experimentation into full scale flight validation following more than 400 successful test flights conducted using a one third scale demonstrator aircraft.

The programme is focused on developing electric vertical takeoff and landing technology aimed at future urban and regional air mobility applications. Moving into full scale testing allows Honda to begin validating aircraft performance, flight control systems and operational capability at a much more advanced level.
