Used Business Jet Inventory Continues to Tighten as Younger Aircraft Become Scarce
Analysts at Jefferies report that available used business jet inventory continues to decline, reflecting ongoing strength in the secondary aircraft market.

According to the latest analysis, overall inventory levels in May were down 11 percent year over year, while availability of newer aircraft models dropped by approximately 37 percent. The sharp decline in younger aircraft inventory highlights continued demand for modern, low time jets amid limited new aircraft delivery availability.

The constrained supply environment is helping support strong residual values and higher pricing across much of the pre owned market. Operators and buyers seeking quicker access to aircraft are increasingly turning to the secondary market as OEM backlogs remain extended.

The trend reinforces how tight supply conditions continue shaping fleet acquisition strategies throughout business aviation.
