Archer Aviation has reached a significant milestone in the United Arab Emirates after aligning with the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority on a streamlined certification pathway for its Midnight aircraft.

The programme transitions Midnight into a Restricted Type Certificate framework, creating a faster route toward early stage commercial operations in the UAE while remaining aligned with international aviation standards. Archer becomes the first eVTOL manufacturer to move into this certification track with the GCAA.

A key part of the process includes pursuing Design Organisation Approval and Production Organisation Approval, both of which reflect regulatory confidence in the company’s engineering capability and safety management systems.
