EASA Highlights Strengthened Technical Coordination With FAA Following Industry Reforms
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency says technical coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration has improved significantly in recent years, reflecting renewed cooperation across global certification and safety oversight.

EASA leadership noted that collaboration between the two regulators has strengthened considerably since tensions that emerged following the 737 MAX certification crisis. The renewed relationship is focused on rebuilding technical trust, improving communication and aligning oversight processes across international aviation programmes.

For business aviation manufacturers and operators, stronger FAA and EASA coordination is important for certification efficiency, aircraft validation and regulatory consistency between major global markets.

The closer cooperation also supports smoother international operations and more predictable certification pathways for future aircraft and advanced aviation technologies.
