Jeppesen has released version 5.2 of its FliteDeck Pro Electronic Flight Bag, introducing a range of enhancements focused on situational awareness, safety and operational efficiency.

A key update is the addition of graphical NOTAMs, transforming complex text into intuitive map overlays. This allows pilots to quickly visualise runway and taxiway closures as well as operational constraints, reducing workload during critical phases of flight. The update also includes a High Level Significant Weather layer, providing insight into icing, turbulence, jet streams and tropopause levels, alongside a dedicated GPS interference layer highlighting spoofing risk areas.

Operational efficiency is further improved through enhanced cost index optimisation, integrating with onboard systems to automate fuel advisory calculations. Additional workflow improvements include dispatch integration and electronic journey logging, streamlining flight documentation and reporting.
