Flight Operations Base Manager

• Manages day-to-day Flight Operations at the assigned base, co-leading a team of Crew Managers and Administrative staff.

• Ensures pilot competence in safety, regulations, and communication.

• Provides direct coaching, support, and evaluation for Crew Managers focused on customer satisfaction and safety.

• Develops operational goals and performance metrics for the Flight Operations team.

• Coordinates with maintenance and crew resources to maintain operational control.

• Oversees compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Conducts investigations for policy or regulation violations and handles disciplinary actions.

• Establishes agreements between the Union and Company through effective communication.

• Participates in hiring, promotions, and budget reviews.

• Maintains required operational materials for crews and evaluates performance standards.

• Engages in the Safety Management System (SMS) program as established by the Director of Safety.

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3 years in Flight Operations preferred.

• Competencies needed include ethics, knowledge of business operations, trust-building, and team leadership.
